About Us
Jim Kersten formed Golden Dome Strategies, LLC to provide clients the consulting services they need as it relates to public policy at the state and federal level of government. We leverage our close relationships with public policy makers - including state and federally elected officials; state and federally appointed agency staff; and others - to help our clients achieve the goals and objectives that they have outlined.

We specialize in assisting our client's existing state and federal government affairs staff from an Iowa perspective. Our clients use our services so we can give specific advice and direction as it relates to the Governor and his Administrative Agencies, as well as with regard to State Legislative and US Congressional issues. We "Iowanize" the issue so it can be placed in the correct perspective by our public officials.

We are successful because we work hard to maintain personal relationships with key Iowa and Federally elected officials and key agency staff. We can "compartmentalize" complex policy issues so they can be explained in a clear and concise manner. We understand fully the political and public policy process having played key roles in both the Executive and Legislative branches of government.
